If they guess wrong a second time, theyget to choose who gets to leave the room next.

This player must move around one step at a time whilethe other players call out “Warm!” or “Cold!” or “Colder!” or“Warmer!” or “Boiling!” until the player finds the object. Thecloser they get, the “warmer” they are. The further away theyget, the “colder” they are.

Give each child five buttons. The players go from player toplayer, exchanging buttons with each other. They can give awayas many or few as they want, but they cannot refuse buttonsfrom other players. After approximately 2 minutes the leadercalls “Stop!” The leader then calls out a “lucky number”between one and twenty. Whoever has that number of buttonswins.

Cat and Rat

This game is best for 10 or more players. The players holdhands in a circle. One player is the rat on the inside of thecircle, and one player is the cat on the outside of the circle. The cat tries to break through the circle to get to the rat. Theplayers in the circle try to prevent the cat from getting to therat. When the cat succeeds in breaking through the circle, theplayers the cat broke between are the next cat and rat.

Also ask that the location, date, and time that theballoon is found be written on the postcard by the person whofinds the balloon and that the person drop the postcard in themail. Place the postcards in ziploc bags and attach them to theballoons. Set a date for when the contest ends, and launch theballoons!

Farm Animals

Secretly give the name of a farm animal to each player. Theleader yells “Go!” and each player acts out their animal at thesame time. At the end of 2 minutes, each player calls out asmany of the animal names as they can remember. The player thatremembers the most animal names correctly wins the game.

Dog Bone

All players are seated in a group. One player is selected to bethe dog. The dog sits with his back to the rest of the players.A bone (eraser, ball, or some other object) is placed on thefloor behind the dog’s back. One at a time, each player triesto sneak up behind the dog and steal his bone. If the dog hearsa sound from the player trying to sneak up behind him, he“barks” and the other player returns to their seat. If someoneis successful in stealing the bone, that player returns totheir seat and hides the bone. All of the players then say,“Dog, Dog, where’s your bone?” The dog has three chances toguess who stole his bone. The person who stole the bone gets tobe dog next.

“ Cowgirl Party Games”
toddlers activity guide for game party toddler

Fun in cowgirl party mostly happened in doing things which isrough and tough. Try out some game for your kids to have moreexcitement and be more like a cowgirl.

For the third game the girls clasped hands and formed a circle.Susie's hat was placed in the center on its crown. Then thegirls, keeping their hands clasped, tried to pull and push eachother so as to make someone knock the hat over. Each girl whobumped the hat over dropped out of the circle. The hat wasrighted and the game went on, until a single winner remained.

By this time the girls were ready for a quiet game. The winnerof the last game started the new one. She said, "My horse isactive." The next girl in the circle to her right used the samesentence adding an adjective beginning with "b." For instance,"My horse is active and bony." The third said, "My horse isactive, bony, and clever." And so on around the circle. Anyonenot able to think of an adjective beginning with the nextletter of the alphabet dropped out of the circle.

Then followed a "Driving Race." Two groups of three girls eachwere selected. In each group two of the girls were chosen ashorses. These two girls made a seat of their hands, each girltaking hold of her right wrist with her left hand and takinghold of the left wrist of the other girl with her right hand. The horses were blindfolded. The third girl was then seated onthis human chair, and all three were turned around two or threetimes until the blindfolded horses lost all sense of direction. The signal to start was given and the two teams raced acrossthe room and back; the blindfolded horses being guided by thegirl riders who directed them. Of course, the team gettingacross the room and back first was the winners.

By this time the cowgirls were ready for a feed. The longdining table with its red-and-white-checked cloth was set withshiny tin cups, plates and knives; no forks or spoons. For oncethese little girls could forget their ladylike manners. Eatingcreamed potatoes and a slice of meat loaf with a knife was nottoo bad, but by the time they reached the buttered peas andJello salad they were laughing so heartily they could scarcelyeat. A slice of apple pie to be eaten with the same knife, anda tin cup of milk completed the hilarious meal.

At the conclusion of the party the young cowgirls gave three"yippee" for the young hostess and her clever cowgirl party.

It is a great enjoyment for a cowgirl to experience new gamelike driving race, knock the hat and especially eating thebuttered peas and Jello salad with a knife. It gives adelightful and fun feeling to the young girls.
