Kids Activities:

FreeToddlersActivity&DisciplineGuide Not only do kids of all ages love to play games, games are a creative and inexpensive way to entertain children. With a little imagination you will soon have them making up their own games!

Whether you're looking for birthday party games or just something to keep the little ones busy for a little while, I think you'll find these games easy to learn and fun for all ages.

Magic Trick for Free

There is a number of fun and easy-to-do magic tricks which a budding magician can learn to perform.

The key to showing off a magic trick is to practice until you have it perfected.

Here is one free magic trick for budding magicians. By trying out the basic magic tricks first, you can later move on to more complicated tricks and stunts to make you a joy to watch.

'The Magic Bottle Trick'

This is how the trick would look to a spectator:

First, the performer would ask for a volunteer from the audience. The volunteer would look inside the bottle that the magician is holding and show it off to the rest of the audience as a typical, empty bottle.

Then, the volunteer would return the bottle to the magician and also examine the magic wand.

The magician will drop the wand into the bottle, then turn the bottle over and let go of the wand.

The trick is for the wand to remain suspended inside the bottle.

Here are the supplies needed to pull off this magic bottle trick:

1. An eraser.

2. A bottle with a large opening where the wand would fit into. The bottle should be opaque.

3. A 'magical' wand which is taller than the bottle. Once you drop the wand into the bottle, part of it should stick up through the opening.

Cut off a piece of the eraser and make it be just big enough for you to wedge the wand into the bottle opening.

The eraser is the key to make the trick work.

This is where the trick comes in:

The magician would pass the bottle to a volunteer in the audience to make sure that the container is empty.

Then, the magician will take the bottle back and give the wand to a participant in the audience.

He would then slip the eraser into the bottle in such a way that it is hidden from everyone in the audience. The wand is taken back and later dropped into the bottle.

Afterwards, the wand and the bottle are picked up very slowly, upside down.

Then, the wand is slightly pulled while the bottle is being turned over. The eraser then gets wedged into the opening, then the magician lets go of the magic wand and voila!

The wand does not fall out. Slowly turn the bottle upright again, let go of everything and the wand remains suspended in the bottle and more importantly, it does not fall back down.

The wand is slightly pushed to release the rubber, and it is slowly taken out and finally removed.

Stun and Amaze your kids when you learn a couple of magic trick to entertain them and their friends! You can now be the star of your kids birthday parties, with a couple of clever tricks up your sleeve….. visit our site to learn more magic tricks today!

Fun Spray Painting

Inexpensive and entertaining, keeping your little ones busy while adding a touch of learning on those days they are in need of a new and fun crafty activity.

What You Need:

• colourful range of food colouring

• Water

• Paper (Large)

• Spray Bottles

• Pegs

• Smock, (Dads old shirt)

• Washing Line, Clothes Airier

How To Make A Start:

Firstly, outdoors is the best area for your children to start their wonderful and creative spray painting work. Setting up the area, peg the large piece of paper to your washing line; peg the paper to the fence if needed.

Add your food colouring to the water in the spray bottles, using a verity of colours, makes the art work more interesting.

Now let the fun begin. Show your children how to spray short, fine bursts. Remember not over spray on the one piece of paper, as the paper becomes weaker, if to wet the paper will tear easy.

Keep and store your children’s crafty spray paintings for special gift wrapping to family friends or neighbours.

Suggestion: Mom or dads, try asking your children each colour added, or the colours in the spray bottles. Place outdoor objects on the paper for some super patterns & different shapes.

If Your Kids Are Watching Commercials They May Be Learning Bad Manners!

I recently saw a national commercial with a family passing the (very well known) butter to each other at the dinner table. I was shocked to see the ad feature a family who each wanted to spread the butter on their bread and they asked to have someone else pass the butter by saying just that: “Pass the butter”. It happened more than once during the commercial and it sounded just as grotesque to me the second time as it did the first!

What I want to know is which advertiser is responsible for putting something so coarse and so rude on the air! Didn’t your mother teach you always to say please? At least when you pass the “Grey Poupon” you’re saying it with style!

Manners in our society have been dwindling for the past several years. People live in a constant state of rush so the little things like manners get tossed out the window. It’s such a shame too, because if you ask any executive what is the number one thing that makes a person successful, I guarantee that they won’t say, his or her intelligence. They’ll talk about team work, and the ability of getting along with others. They’ll talk about how nice the person is, and how likable.

So moms, when your kids are running out the door now in a hurry, one of the greatest gifts that you can give them is to demand that they be polite. Make them say their “pleases and thank you’s”. They may get annoyed at you now, but they’ll be thanking you 5-10 years from now when they have to be in the work force and they feel like a fish out of water. Even if they have no clue what to do, if they are nice, and polite, others will take them under their wing and help them out.

So people, let’s practice our manners at home, so when we’re out interacting with each other, we don’t end up sounding like we’re on a bad butter commercial!

I've learned.... That life is tough, but I'm tougher.

I've learned.... That to ignore the facts does not change the facts.

I've learned.... That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself with people smarter than I am.

I've learned.... That I should keep my words both soft and tender, because tomorrow I may have to eat them.

I've learned.... That I can't choose how I feel, but I can choose what I do about it.

I've learned.... That life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.

I've learned.... That we should be glad God doesn't give us everything we ask for.

I've learned.... That money doesn't buy class.

I've learned.... That it's the small daily happenings that make life so spectacular.

I've learned.... That under everyone's hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved.

I've learned.... That the Lord didn't do it all in one day. What makes me think I can?

I've learned.... That when you plan to get even with someone, you are only letting that person continue to hurt you.

I've learned.... That everyone you meet deserves to be greeted with a smile.

I've learned.... That there's nothing sweeter than sleeping with your babies and feeling their breath on your cheeks.

I've learned.... That opportunities are never lost; someone will take the ones you miss.

I've learned.... That when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.

I've learned.... That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.

I've learned.... That when your newly born child holds your little finger in his little fist, you're hooked for life.

I've learned.... That everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occur while you're climbing it.

I've learned.... That the less time I have to work with, the more things I get done.
