Kids Activities:

FreeToddlersActivity&DisciplineGuide Not only do kids of all ages love to play games, games are a creative and inexpensive way to entertain children. With a little imagination you will soon have them making up their own games!

Whether you're looking for birthday party games or just something to keep the little ones busy for a little while, I think you'll find these games easy to learn and fun for all ages.

Fun Backyard Water Activities

Come summer and everybody is looking for ways to cool off. Most tend to head out for the beach and stay put there as much as possible. But while going to the beach is fun for some it can be a difficult proposition. There are those who stay in the interiors of the country who will not have easy access to the beaches. They can then plan trips to the swimming pool or better still, go to the best place of all - your own backyard.

It’s amazing how many people choose to spend their summers in their own backyard doing things with the family without the hassles of traffic and crowded places and tempers raging because you are just hot and uncomfortable. Who needs that? No one for sure.

Many people have swimming pools inside or outside their homes but this is not possible for all as most pools don’t come cheap. Some alternatives come in the shape of kiddies’ inflatable pools or above ground small pools which can be found at an affordable price. But again pools may be not be everyone’s choice of activity and for them there are some other things like maybe water gun fights which are age proof. Anyone who is ready for some fun and some cooling off qualifies. Water guns are not expensive and they are available at your nearest retail store.

Water balloons are another option and these are really cheap. They are freely available and can be enjoyed by all ages. This is good family time spent together and so very cooling too.

Though it may seem strange, water sprinklers are another way of cooling off. Sit back in your lounge chair with a good book and turn on the sprinkler, there will never be a cooler person. It’s more civilized, does not cost a penny extra and can be enjoyed by everyone on hot sunny days. Most people cannot handle competitive and interactive water games and for them this is a perfectly cool alternative.

Easy Kids Recipe:

Honey Gingerbread

Honey Gingerbread is a simple and easy to prepare honey cookie. And you can decoreate it if you want to.

Ingredients

• 500g smooth flour
• 125g butter
• 190g powdered sugar
• 1 table spoon honey
• 3 egg
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 4 clove

And you need some molds to cut forms of cakes.

Decoration (optional)

• 1 egg white
• 150g and more powdered sugar
Procedure

1. Take all ingredients except one egg and prepare a smooth dough.

2. Put the last egg to cup and mix it.

3. Divide the dough on five or six parts. Take one part and make cca 3mm film from it. Now molds come handy - cut some nice forms and put them on baking tin.

4. When the tin is full, take the mixed egg and glair top of every cake.

5. Bake at 180°C for few minutes minutes, until the cakes have nice light brown colour.

6. Repeat until you used all dough.

Decorating (optional)

If you have decidet to decorate the cakes you will have to invest another time - maybe few hours if the decoration is complex.

1. Mix the egg white and sugar. You may have to add another sugar if the substance is not concrete enough.

2. If you do not have accesories needed to "paint" on cakes you can use plastic bag - just cut of corner of it to make small hole with about 1mm in diameter.

3. You can start painting now.

Colored Paper Chains

Children love this paper chain activity. Your children will enjoy adding their own personal touch to their paper chain by decorating it for a friend, neighbour or for the Christmas tree, also makes a great birthday decoration.

Children love to see their creative work displayed. Paper chains are easy to make and lots of fun for all children.

What you will need

Colored paper

Scissors

Paint, Glitter

Glue, paste, or stapler

What to do

Cut paper into one-by-four-inch strips. Decorate the strips for those special occasions adding more color with a sprinkle of glitter or bright colored paint. Once your decorated strips are dry glue or staple the ends of the first strip to make a ring.

Then thread the next strip through this ring and glue the ends together. Continue threading the strips through the previous rings until your paper chain reaches the desired length.

Enjoy!

EVERYONE GIVES ADVICE TO THE NEW MOM

This probably happens to the majority of the women that recently became mothers for the first time: they feel as if they really know nothing about taking care of the baby, feeding him, what to do when he doesn’t seem to stop crying, how to dress the little one. Of course, immediately older relatives or friends that have children appear and everyone is competing to give you the best advice. And the amount of advice is huge but many of the indications contradict themselves.

Actually, as time passes, you start feeling like you are in some kind of rollercoaster and don’t know who you should listen to first…it seems that all of your friends have nothing better to do than give you advice. Even the mommies from the park, that you really don’t know, are now giving you advice and sharing their opinions regarding your baby: he looks too thin or too fat for his age, he is too quiet or too noisy, and how you should feed him, as if you didn’t already know that.

The truth is, that no matter how many books have been written to better explain this, being a parent is a science forever growing and changing, sometimes in a trembling way. What was good two or three years ago, today is outdated and not recommended, like placing your baby on his belly when you get him ready for sleep or giving him solid food before he turns four month old.

And if in your family there hasn’t been a baby for a long time, you should expect such out-dated advice. You must try not to loose your patience because they mean well and they can’t know what the latest discoveries in this area are.

It is true that sometimes this can get very annoying. They will all say “I’ve raised a child already, you haven’t!”, but again, try not to lose your patience. In the mean time, you must claim your point of view and always stay in touch with your pediatrician – that is the best you can do for the little one. Because your family members care about the baby’s health they will be flexible and won’t try to impose at any costs.

The only problem that should really matter to you should be the following: because you are anyway lost and confused and why not, overwhelmed by the new responsibilities, there is the risk that this advice you are getting to make you wonder whether you are a good mother or not.

But, once you gave birth, the maternal instinct appears, it is actually there even when you are pregnant. No matter what everyone else says, even if you are not an expert when it comes to babies, you are however an expert in everything relater to your baby! You know and feel best what he wants and needs. Trust your instincts – you are probably doing much better that you know.

Testimony From St Louis Courts Over the years, there have been many collections of absurd and silly exchanges in courts. These are supposedly from actual records in St Louis. Enjoy!

Judge: I know you, don't I? Defendant: Uh, yes. Judge: All right, tell me, how do I know you? Defendant: Judge, do I have to tell you? Judge: Of course, you might be obstructing justice not to tell me. Defendant: Okay. I was your bookie.

--------------------------------------

From a defendant representing himself . .. . Defendant: Did you get a good look at me when I allegedly stole your purse? Victim: Yes, I saw you clearly. You are the one who stole my purse. Defendant: I should have shot you while I had the chance.

---------------------------------------

Judge: The charge here is theft of frozen chickens. Are you the defendant? Defendant: No, sir, I'm the guy who stole the chickens.

---------------------------------------

Lawyer: How do you feel about defence attorneys? Juror: I think they should all be drowned at birth. Lawyer: Well, then, you are obviously biased for the prosecution. Juror: That's not true. I think prosecutors should be drowned at birth, too.

----------------------------------------

Judge: Is there any reason you could not serve as a juror in this case? Juror: I don't want to be away from my job that long. Judge: Can't they do without you at work? Juror: Yes, but I don't want them to know it.

-----------------------------------------

Defendant: Judge, I want you to appoint me another lawyer. Judge: And why is that? Defendant: Because the Public Defender isn't interested in my case.

Judge (to Public Defender): Do you have a comment on the defendant's motion? Public Defender: I'm sorry, Your Honour. I wasn't listening.
