Toddler Lesson Plans Idea for Toddler Learning Activities

Toddlers love to discover new things; however, it is often hard for parents to come up with information for activities to divert their attention at home and they end up repeating the same old activities with their toddler on a standard basis. The following Toddler Lesson Plans give some ideas of what you can do when you get stuck in a rut.

Rain Stick:
To make a rain stick, many people will have paper for wrapping in their home at some point and there is an enjoyable and easy craft activity you can perform with the cardboard tube that is empty, rice, baking paper and a pair of elastic bands – rain stick making! An unfilled kitchen roll can be used to create a smaller version.

To start with your toddler learning activities, let your child decorate the hollow cardboard tube. This can be done through painting it, sticking pictures or materials on it or even wrapping it in old paper wrapping.

Then you must cut out a pair of circles from the firm baking paper that is slightly bigger than the circle bases of the tube. Seal up one end of the cardboard tube with the baking paper by securing it with a flexible rubber band.

The subsequent move is to create the “rain” sound. You can use shapes of small pasta, rice, little shells or some other things which could be utilized to create a pleasing sound of rain.

Once you pour a cup of rice into the pipe you must seal the other end with the next circled baking paper and stretchable band. Now it’s finished – to use it move it gradually forwards and backwards to rattle the contents until they make a raining sound.

Pebble Pets:
In making pebble pets, you should have some paint, a large smooth pebble and PVA glue – theoretically this activity is not free of charge as you must purchase the paint. But I have incorporated this activity in this piece of writing as the majority of houses with toddlers already have paint for poster and it is inexpensive.

The pebble must be round and fairly large. The easiest design is a lady bird; however, your child can paint anything that takes their thoughts.

Combine a small amount of PVA glue with poster paint that is red and totally coat the pebble. This then must be left for a several hours.

When it is totally dry, your toddler can utilize the black paint for poster to put in a face and spots. If your child is impatient or young you may paint the first layer without them and then provide them it to decorate, so they are not irritable by having to wait for it to dry.

As a replacement for black paint for poster you could utilize a marker pen that is black. And eyes that are googly can contribute a fun touch.
